OSHA 30-Hour Construction training is the perfect course for educating construction workers and supervisors on the OSHA safety standards. Students who successfully complete this OSHA-authorized course will receive an official OSHA card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to recognize and identify Safety and
Health Hazards as outlined below:
- Discuss why OSHA is important to workers.
- Discuss all the rights workers have under OSHA.
- Discuss the employer’s responsibilities and how to file a complaint against an employer.
- Discuss OSHA standards and how those standards are inspected.
- Identify all the common health hazards that present on a worksite.
- Use procedures and means of prevention and/or mitigation of health hazards on the
worksite. - Learn to recall the hazard communication program in construction.
- Recognize hearing protection programs
- Recognize respiratory protection programs.
- Describe different types of caught-in or between, struck by, electrocution and fall
hazards. - Recognize industrial hygiene and toxicology means of prevention
- Identify means for head protection.
- Identify means for face and eye protection.
- Identify proper foot wear required on the worksite.
- Identify means for hand and body protection.
- Identify and use GHS labeling for chemicals in accordance with the provisions of the
United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. - Identify hazards and means of prevention associated with the use of scaffolds, ladders
and stairways on the worksite. - Define the exact roles and responsibilities of the Competent Person.
Attendance Policy: MoD Training Academy requires 100% attendance to fulfill course requirements. Students must arrive to class no later than 30 minutes after training begins.
