OSHA 10-Hour Construction is beneficial for entry level workers on a job site. Workplace safety training provides for a safe and healthful work environment, specifically for hazard avoidance.
Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to recognize and identify Safety and
Health Hazards as outlined below:
- Recognize worker rights that are protected under OSHA and responsibilities an employer has under OSHA.
- Types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and their appropriate use.
- Identify different types of health and safety hazards on a worksite and the means of mitigating them.
- Identify major fall hazards, common caught-in or -between hazards, common struck-by hazards, electrocution hazards.
- Describe types of confined space hazards and recognize ways to protect oneself from those hazards.
- Understand employer requirements for providing a safety and health program that effectively reduces and prevents employee injury and fatality.
Attendance Policy: MoD Training Academy requires 100% attendance to fulfill course requirements. Students must arrive to class no later than 30 minutes after training begins.
